No God?
The very first words God spoke virtually confirm that God is real. 'Let there be light'. An Astronomer was asked what the first moments of Creation would look like said; 'Well there would be an instantaneous explosion of light every where. The light would not be located in any particular place, it would be every where'. There is some disagreement among Christians over just what Genesis is describing. Some Christian Bible students believe it is describing a second creation, a chain of events that led to the virgin birth, life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. While other propose it is the entire history of all creation. Either one has God's description of light precisely as it would look at the beginning of the present Universe. |

Hello I am from the USA......and have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ!! In the last few days He has removed the tormenting thoughts I was having about the divorce being final. Hi
Thank you for your input.....its much appreciated and valued. My daughter is on holidays now.......and loving it!!! lol Shes now go- karting with her dad today, she loves speed, oh dear We are still seeking more info about her leaving school but at this time, feel she needs to stay and the school is doing everything they can for her now. With a little help from us parents heh heh.
I really do value any input someone writes and soak it all up! The more i learn, the better and coming from those who haved lived it, its precious. Thank you again.

Asperger's Syndrome
It depends on what activities one gets involved with after leaving. Amateurr theatre taught me about eye contact, body language, taking turns and teamwork. Orchestras and choirs taught me teamwork too. I learnt social chit chat in the tea and coffee breaks at these activities. I learnt about group activities at Uni during tutorials. I found the schoolyard too unstructured and confusing to learn, but in these environments I thrived and when I told my Supervisor a month ago that I have ASD the first thing she said was 'but you don't have any problems socialising!' and I said 'But you didn't see how I was as a child'. Everybody's different I guess. |

Hi Courage,
Sorry to hear about the school dramas. Now I'm really going to get on my high horse 'cos you've hit a sore spot in me without realising! lol. So much so that I couldn't respond straight away.
I went through that too and ended up changing schools. The next school was a bit better but only because I went totally into my shell and was pretty untouchable. I left at the age of 16, worked for a year and returned to a free-dress school for the final two years and did really, really well. Leaving for a while was the best thing I ever did, it gave me time to rebuild my shattered confidence and self esteem, dare to dream again and even made a friend. That was in the 80s and nowadays there are many more options available through TAFEs etc. If the school she is at is not helping then they do not have adequate anti-bullying processes in place and the bullying/teasing is unlikely to stop.
I think your daughter is right, she should leave. There are other wayys to get an education and learn social skills, these days. TAFEs, learning centres, community houses, online courses, mentoring, tutoruing, CAE, correspondence......and the good ol' school of life. I have met lots of people who have completed the last couple of years of High School through other organisations one subject at a time and combined courses in creative ways. But she may need a break first. |
