Subject :marriage in need of help..

i need someone to talk to who understands. my husband and i have been married for almost 2 years now. we have a beautiful baby girl as well. he went to church with his parents when he was younger but now will only go to keep me happy, those were his words. i want him to want to go. because he has attatchments and he needs to be delivered, but he wont. i dont no what to do. he has hurt me so many times, (not physically), and i thought that icould change the way he used to be with women, alcohol, lust and porn and things like that. i no he has the potential to be such an amazing man of god, but at the moment he doesnt treat me like he should. i no he loves me but he doesnt no how to tell the truth. i have to think about my daughters best interest, because i want her to grow up a strong christian, and she wont if my husband doesnt do anything about his attatchments. god doesnt want us to worry, or be upset, and i dont want to be. he has done so many things to me i cant help but wonder what he is up to. is there anyone out there who understands and can offer some advice? maybe a man who was like my husband and has been delivered, or a women who has gone through something similar? at the moment i was just gonna give it some more time, i try to talk to him about the things i learn at church but he doesnt want to listen. i have thought to leave him, but i dont want to break a promise to god, and i want my husband to be the best possible man he can be, and feel he will only be if i help him, if he ever wants it...i would really appreciate anyone's comments, thankyou for taking the time to read this.

Hi joyousmusic.
Just a quick question were you a christian when you got married? I also have had that same hand dealt to me. I found God when my marriage was in trtouble my husband came to church as well. We both got saved together. Unfortunatley the word fell on dried up soil with him and without the word of god the seed was never watered in his case. I prayed and cried for many years until I realised that we are not meant to be unevenly yolked and let him go. I wished him light and love and set him free.
I realise that gods grace and love would protect me and my husband is still the same today. It was not without trying and praying and crying that I got to that point it was destroying me. His love for gambling drugs and alchohol was greater than me and the lord. I needed my peace and the longer I stayed the more deprest I became. I hope that does not happen to you. Just pray for you to have the strength to resist the arrows of the enemy. Put all your armor on and listen to beautiful music be around spirit filled people and the light will shine from you.

thankyou all for your words and advice. im sorry to hear what happened with your husband waterlover, but god will always be there for you and if your a happier person now then u did the right thing  i did believe in god when i got married but i didnt get saved until about a year into my marriage when things weren't going well for us. my husband still hasnt changed. he keeps lying and i found out he has cheated on me, i deserve better. i want to grow more in the lord and i feel he is holding me back. i want to be happy and i feel the only way i can be is to leave. so i have decided to get a divorce. god will look after me, he always does! thankyou to all for replying, this will be a hard time, but im looking forward to being free.

joyous please don't despair over this. Sometimes in life things that seem the hardest are often trial that we go through in order to achieve our full character in the lord. It is often always darkest before the light and I can honestly say this to you that you don't deserve to be treated wrong in your marriage. It takes a lot of deep soul searching before one can come to the point of wanting a better life for yourself and knowing what is right and wrong. What has been dished up to you is not right and I hope god convicts your husband to show him that. When we do get to the point of a divorce your true friends will stand by you and support and pray for you.
